The Upper Montgomery high school ice hockey team is a cooperative team formed from student athletes attending four local high schools in the Up-County region of Montgomery County, Maryland. Eligible student athletes from Clarksburg High School, Damascus High School, Poolesville High School, and Seneca Valley High School may participate in the program. The team fields a Varsity team, a Junior Varsity team, and has a developmental squad for student athletes working toward improving their individual skills. The Upper Montgomery hockey club team nickname is the Lightning. The team competes in the Montgomery Hockey Conference (MHC) which is part of the Maryland Student Hockey League (MSHL).
