Junior Season
Josh was a key member of the 2023 – 2024 Upper Montgomery Lightning Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Champions.
Josh set a personal career high in assists for the varsity with four.
Josh had two assists in Upper Montgomery’s destruction of Northwest / Quince Orchard in the quarterfinal round of the Montgomery Hockey Conference varsity tournament.
Josh served as a Team Captain for Upper Montgomery’s Junior Varsity team.
Josh became the Upper Montgomery junior varsity’s all-time leading goal scorer finishing his junior varsity career with 21 goals.
Josh set an Upper Montgomery junior varsity program record by scoring in his first six games of the season.
Josh finished his junior varsity career third in scoring for Upper Montgomery with 26 points.
Josh tied for the junior varsity team lead with eleven goals in his junior season. He finished one goal away from tying the junior varsity record for goals in a season.
Josh tied for the junior varsity team lead with three game winning goals.
Josh had a career high four goals and added an assist in the Lightning junior varsity’s stomping of Oakdale.
Josh scored two goals for the junior varsity to help lead the squad past Rockville.
Josh led the Lightning junior varsity, and the entire Maryland Scholastic Hockey League (all of Maryland and DC teams) in penalty minutes this season with 53.
Josh is the junior varsity career leader in penalty minutes with 124 penalty minutes.
Josh was awarded the Maurice Richard trophy for most goals scored for the Lightning junior varsity.
Josh was a key member of the junior varsity’s penalty kill unit that went a perfect 27-27 with a goalie in net.
Sophomore Season
Josh served as Team Captain for Upper Montgomery’s Junior Varsity team.
Josh set a junior varsity program record and established a career high with 51 penalty minutes for the season.
Josh set a junior varsity individual game record with 31 penalty minutes in the victory over Carroll County.
9th Grade Season
Josh was named Team Captain for the Upper Montgomery’s Lightning Junior Varsity squad.
Josh was a key member of the 2021 – 2022 Upper Montgomery Lightning Montgomery Hockey Conference Junior Varsity Champions.
Josh’s first career high school varsity goal was scored in a win against Wilson.
Josh scored two goals including the game winner in his first high school game, a junior varsity season opening victory against BCC.
Josh scored the game tying goal on a wrap around with Upper Montgomery on the powerplay, late in the third period against Northwest in the junior varsity quarterfinal playoff game and scored again in the shootout helping the Lightning to the victory.
Josh’s five goals for the junior varsity were the most for an incoming 9th grader.
Josh appeared in eleven games for the varsity during his 9th grade season.
Josh played in twelve games for the junior varsity during his 9th grade season.
Outside of High School Hockey
Josh played center for the Frederick Victory 18U House travel team that plays in the Capital Corridor Hockey League. Prior to joining the Victory, Josh played forward for the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association Ice Devils 14U House team. He also played on the Ice Devils 12U and 10U House teams.
