Hockey Accomplishments

Senior Season

Chris was a key member of the 2023 – 2024 Upper Montgomery Lightning Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Champions.

Chris led the varsity in goals, assists, and points for the third consecutive season. He finished the year with personal career highs in goals with 26, in assists with 23, and in points with 49. Chris earned the Maurice Richard award for most goals and the Art Ross award for most points.

Chris finished his high school career with 62 goals (third all time in program history), 64 assists (second all time in program history) and 126 points (third all time in program history).

Chris’s offensive accomplishments qualified him for inclusion in the Maryland Scholastic Hockey League Hall of Fame as a 2024 inductee.

Chris was named to the Montgomery Hockey Conference Division One 2nd Team as a forward.

Chris scored a career high five goals and added an assist in in Upper Montgomery’s destruction of Northwest / Quince Orchard in the quarterfinal round of the Montgomery Hockey Conference varsity tournament.

Chris scored four goals in Upper Montgomery’s semifinal win over Sherwood in the Montgomery Hockey Conference varsity tournament.

Chris scored two goals and added three assists in Upper Montgomery’s thrashing of Wootton for the Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Championship.

Chris scored a hat-trick and added two assists in Upper Montgomery’s overtime win over Rockville / Magruder.

Chris scored two goals and handed out three assists in Upper Montgomery’s game against Sherwood.

Chris scored two goals and handed out four assists for a career high six points in Upper Montgomery’s upset victory over 2nd ranked Walter Johnson.

Chris help lead Upper Montgomery to victory over Blair in the opening round of the Montgomery Hockey Conference playoffs with two goals and two assists.

Chris had one goal and three assists in the Lightning’s win over Churchill 2.

Chris scored a goal and provided two helpers in Upper Montgomery’s win over Whitman.

Chris scored twice on Upper Montgomery’s come from behind tie with the DC Stars.

Chris scored in his final high school hockey game in Upper Montgomery’s thrashing of Wootton for the Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Championship.

Chris led the Lightning in game winning goals with five.

Chris was a team captain for the Upper Montgomery Lightning varsity team.

As the emergency backup goaltender for the Lightning junior varsity, Chris won his only start of the season to help Upper Montgomery remain undefeated.

Junior Season

Chris led the varsity in goals, assists, and points for the second consecutive season. He finished the year with 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points, and earned the Maurice Richard award for most goals and the Art Ross award for most points.

Chris was third in Montgomery Hockey Conference Division One with 2.18 points per game during the regular season.

Chris’s 34 points were a career high.

Chris’s 19 assists were also a career high.

Chris scored hat-tricks in the win against Northwest and the Division Two Semifinal game against Sherwood.

Chris had two three assist games, in the wins against Northwest and Wootton.

Chris had a career high with six points against Northwest with three goals and three assists.

Chris tied for the team lead with three powerplay goals.

Chris was second on the team with 32 penalty minutes.

Chris served as the backup goalie for the junior varsity and earned two wins. Chris had never played goalie prior to volunteering to help out on the junior varsity.

Sophomore Season

Chris was an alternate captain for the Upper Montgomery Lightning varsity team.

Chris led the Upper Montgomery Lightning varsity team in every offensive statistical category.

Chris scored 17 goals in 15 games. He added 16 assists. Chris led the Lightning with 33 points, double the next highest scoring forward.

Chris was named the Art Ross award winner for most points scored for the varsity during the season.

Chris was named the Maurice Rocket Richard award for most goals scored for the varsity during the season.

Chris was named one of the Montgomery Hockey Conference honorable mention forwards for his individual performance during the season.

Chris led the team with six powerplay goals and two game winning goals.

Chris scored four goals against Wilson and followed up that game with another hat-trick versus the West Virginia Vipers.

Chris had a personal best and season high six points versus Wilson with four goals and two assists.

Chris had three separate additional four point games versus the West Virginia Vipers (three goals and an assist), Blair (two goals and two assists), and Sherwood (one goal and three assists).

Chris is the Lightning’s active scoring leader with 43 points scored in 23 varsity games.

9th Grade Season

Chris had an assist in his first varsity game against Northwest.

Chris’ ten points for the varsity team were tied for second most for Upper Montgomery.

Chris scored two goals in his only junior varsity game against Richard Montgomery.

Outside of High School Hockey

Chris plays center for the Tri-City Eagles 18U AA travel team which competes in the Chesapeake Bay Hockey League. Prior to playing on the Eagles 18U AA travel team, Chris played on Eagles 16U AA travel team and before that the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association Ice Devils 14U AA travel team.

Chris plays lacrosse for Seneca Valley High School.

Chris is on the Seneca Valley High School golf team.
