Hockey Accomplishments

Senior Season

Hunter was a key member of the 2023 – 2024 Upper Montgomery Lightning Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Champions.

Hunter set personal career highs in goals with eight, in assists with nine, and in points with seventeen.

Hunter had two goals and added two assists in Upper Montgomery’s destruction of Northwest / Quince Orchard in the quarterfinal round of the Montgomery Hockey Conference varsity tournament.

Hunter scored both goals for the Lightning in the season opening game against Whitman.

Hunter had three assists in Upper Montgomery’s upset victory over 2nd ranked Walter Johnson.

Hunter scored two goals in the Lightning’s pounding of Churchill 2.

Hunter scored the game tying goal with under two minutes to play against the DC Stars.

Hunter scored in his final high school hockey game in Upper Montgomery’s thrashing of Wootton for the Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Championship.

Hunter played both center and defense for the Lightning during his senior season displaying position flexibility and playing wherever the team needed him.

Hunter was a team captain for the Upper Montgomery Lightning varsity team.

Junior Season

Hunter scored the biggest goal in program history when he scored in overtime against St. Johns in the Division One playoffs. His goal gave Upper Montgomery is first ever Division One playoff victory.

Hunter tied a personal career high with seven assists.

Hunter finished the season with points in four straight games.

Hunter was an alternate captain for the Upper Montgomery Lightning varsity team.

Sophomore Season

Hunter was an alternate captain for the Upper Montgomery Lightning varsity team.

Hunter was fourth on the varsity team in goals with six.

Hunter was fifth on the varsity team in points with thirteen.

Hunter played in all fifteen varsity games for the Lightning.

9th Grade Season

Hunter led the junior varsity in assists with four.

Hunter scored his first varsity goal against Northwest.

Hunter had two assists in his first junior varsity game, a season opening win against Rockville/Magruder.

Outside of High School Hockey

Hunter plays forward for the Washington Little Caps 18U AAA travel team. This is the program that produced former Washington Capitals Jeff Halpern and USA Hockey Hall of Famer and long time Chicago Blackhawk Jeremy Roenick. Before joining the Washington Little Caps, Hunter played forward for the Tri-City Eagles 16U AA travel team which competes in the Chesapeake Bay Hockey League. Prior to playing on the Eagles 16U AA travel team, Hunter played on the Tri-City 14U Upper A travel team.

Hunter plays lacrosse for Clarksburg High School.
