Hockey Accomplishments
Senior Season
James finished his Lightning career as the team’s active scoring leader with 45 points.
James played in 53 career games for Upper Montgomery.
James was the Upper Montgomery team nominee for the high school Hobey Baker Hockey Award that recognizes character and leadership in hockey and academics.
James’ season highlight was the Wilson game where he scored four goals and added an assist.
Junior Season
James led the Lightning in goals with eight earning the team’s Maurice Rocket Richard award for most goals.
James led the Lightning in points with fourteen earning the team’s Art Ross award for most points.
James scored a hat-trick versus Northwest.
Sophomore Season
James was part of an experienced defensive core that keep the team competitive in their inaugural season in the top division of the Montgomery Hockey Conference.
James scored his first career powerplay goal against Wootton.
9th Grade Season
James played in 16 games during his 9th grade season notching his first career points, a goal and two assists in his first career game, a win over Walter Johnson.
James was a member of the Damascus Coop High School team that won the Montgomery Hockey Conference Division 2 Championship.
Outside of High School Hockey
James plays defense for the Howard Huskies 18U AA travel team. Prior to joining the Huskies program, James played for the Tri-City Eagles 16U and the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association Ice Devils 14U travel programs.
James has been on three Chesapeake Bay Hockey League Champion teams.
James was a Silver Sticks Tournament Champion.
