Hockey Accomplishments
Junior Season
Nathan was a key member of the 2023 – 2024 Upper Montgomery Lightning Montgomery Hockey Conference Varsity Tournament Champions.
Nathan tied a personal career high with eleven goals for the varsity.
Nathan set a personal career high with 29 points for the varsity.
Nathan finished second on the team in assists and points.
Nathan had a career high four assists in Upper Montgomery’s upset of 2nd ranked Walter Johnson.
Nathan scored a hat-trick and added two assists in Upper Montgomery’s stomping of Churchill 2.
Nathan had two goals and three assists for five points in the Lightning’s game against Sherwood.
Nathan scored the overtime game winning goal against Rockville / Magruder and added an assist in the Lightning’s regular season finale.
Nathan scored a goal and added an assist in Upper Montgomery’s opening round playoff win against Blair.
Nathan had two goals and added an assist against Mount St. Joseph. One of the goals was scored on a penalty shot.
Nathan had a goal and added an assist against Bullis.
Nathan had two assists in the Lightning’s tie with the DC Stars.
Sophomore Season
Nathan was named an Honorable Mention forward in the season ending Montgomery Hockey Conference Division One All Conference category.
In the regular season, Nathan finished second in Division One of the Montgomery Hockey Conference with 2.30 points per game.
Nathan finished as Upper Montgomery’s second leading scorer with 25 points. The 25 points were a personal career high.
Nathan set a personal career high with fourteen assists.
Nathan tied his career high with eleven goals.
Nathan significantly cut down on his penalty minutes going from 32 penalty minutes a year ago to just one minor penalty this past season.
Nathan tied a career high with three powerplay goals.
Nathan had two separate three assist games; versus Northwest and against Wootton.
9th Grade Season
In varsity competition, Nathan led all Upper Montgomery first year student athletes with 11 goals.
Nathan was second on the team in points, (tied for the team lead in points by a 9th grade student athlete) with 17.
Nathan scored a hat-trick in the win over Northwest.
Nathan started his high school career with goals in his first three varsity games.
Nathan was the Lightning forward with the most penalty minutes (32) which ranked third highest on the team.
Nathan was second on the team with three powerplay goals.
In his first career high school varsity game, Nathan scored against Rockville/Magruder.
Outside of High School Hockey
Nathan is a forward on the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association Ice Devils 18U AA travel team. Last season, Nathan and the rest of the MYHA 16U AA team reached the championship game at USA Nationals. The MYHA 16U AA team is the first Maryland youth hockey team to ever advance and play for a USA Hockey championship.
Previously, Nathan played on the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association 14U AA travel team. Prior to advancing to the AA travel level, Nathan competed for the Ice Devils at the A and B travel levels in their 14U and 12U programs. Prior to being selected for the Montgomery Youth Hockey Association travel program Nathan played in the Ice Devils House program.
Nathan also plays lacrosse for Seneca Valley High School.
